Terms of use
Only the French version of this page is legally binding.
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Welcome to Summia. These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Summia service, available at summia.app. By using Summia, you accept these Terms.
1 The service
Summia is a spreadsheet you control in everyday language. You describe what you need; Summia builds the tables, formulas, and charts; then a calculation engine performs the calculations. You can also import your files, share your documents, and connect Summia to your AI assistant.
2 Access to the service
Without an account. You can try Summia without creating an account. In that case, your work is temporary: you can no longer access it once you close the page. We erase it from our servers no later than 49 hours after the trial starts, then from our backups within 30 days. To keep it, create an account or sign in before closing the page. The number of AI requests is limited during the trial.
With an account. You create an account with an email address or with your Google or Microsoft account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your sign-in credentials confidential. Any action taken from your account is deemed to have been taken by you. If you believe someone else is using your account, email us right away at security@summia.app.
Pricing. Summia is currently available free of charge. Paid plans may be offered in the future. They will be subject to specific terms, which you will accept when you subscribe to them.
Usage limits. To provide quality service to everyone, the number of AI requests may be limited, for example per day.
3 Your content
It remains yours. The documents, tables, files, and requests that you create in or import into Summia belong to you.
What you authorize us to do. You authorize Summia to host, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and keeping it secure. This includes sharing it with the people you choose.
No training. Your content is never used to train an artificial intelligence model, whether ours or our providers’.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you put into Summia and for what you share. You warrant that you have the right to do so, in particular when your documents contain data about other people.
4 AI and calculations
Summia’s AI suggests structures, formulas, and explanations. The calculations themselves are performed by a calculation engine, and every figure can be checked with one click.
The AI can nevertheless make mistakes: it may misunderstand a request, suggest a formula that does not match what you wanted, or rely on information found online that turns out to be inaccurate. Check the results before making an important decision. Summia is a tool to assist you: it is not a substitute for an accountant or for legal, tax, or financial advice.
5 Sharing
You can share a document, a folder, or a single item, either with specific people or with anyone with the link, and choose what each of them can do: view, fill in, or edit. You alone decide what you share and with whom. A link open to anyone can be passed on by the people who receive it, so do not use one for confidential information. You can remove access at any time.
6 Acceptable use
You agree not to use Summia to:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others;
- host or distribute unlawful content;
- attempt to access other users’ data or to circumvent the service’s protections;
- disrupt the operation of the service, in particular through abusive automated use; or
- resell the service or make it available to third parties without our consent.
If you breach these rules, we may suspend or close the account concerned. Except in an emergency or where required by law, we will notify you in advance.
7 Availability
We do our best to keep Summia available and working properly, but we cannot guarantee that it will be at all times. The service may be interrupted, including for maintenance, updates, or security reasons. Summia evolves regularly: features may be added, changed, or removed.
8 Personal data
How we process your personal data is described in our privacy policy, at summia.app/confidentialite. When you use Summia to process personal data on behalf of your organization, the data processing agreement applies.
9 Intellectual property
Summia, its software, its interface, its trademark, and its own content are protected. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive right to use the service for as long as you use it, and nothing more. You may not copy, modify, or decompile the service, except where permitted by law.
10 Liability
Summia is liable for direct damages caused by a breach of its obligations. It is not liable for:
- decisions you make based on the service’s results;
- content you put into the service or share; or
- use that does not comply with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits the rights the law grants you, in particular if you are a consumer.
11 Ending your use
You can stop using Summia at any time and request the deletion of your account at security@summia.app. A document you delete stays in the trash for 30 days, where you can restore it, before it is deleted forever. At your request, before your account is deleted, we will send you your data.
12 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or in the service before it takes effect. If you continue to use Summia after that, the new Terms apply.
13 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If a problem arises, please write to us first at security@summia.app, and we will seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts, as determined by the rules provided by law.
